I've created this website using React, Next.js, Contentful and Netlify (You can find the source code in my GitHub repository). Why this kind of tech-stack? I did so much Vue and Nuxt.js over the last years and I always wondered how it would be using React/Next. So here are some pros and cons...
Pros(1) React hooks are just amazing ♥. (2) Next.js is pretty easy to setup and use. (3) Netlify is also super easy to use, e.g. connecting to GitHub, preview and deploy the website. (4) Contentful is a headless CMS, that is just amazingly easy to setup and structure
Cons(1) Although I was able to create dynamic routes based on my pages in contentful, I somehow was not able to pass that data directly to the components. Instead I had to fetch each page again. This was easier using Vue and Nuxt.js. (2) Rendering Contentful Rich-text values are kind of a pain in the ass. (3) Unfortunately there is no easy way to extract TypeScript Definitions from Contentful GraphQL Schemas
